I know for a fact that integrity is when you do the right thing even when no one is looking like picking up rubbish.

I feel that respect is when you don’t talk when the teacher is talking also keeping your hands to yourself.

I am certain that excellence looks like in GTS is not giving up and trying your best.

It has come to my attention that achievement is when you do something that you tried to do and overcome it.

Cook Island Week

 Yesterday Room 6 and I was making lei to celebrate cookisland week. It was a long process we had straws,flowers and string. We had put 2 flowers then 1 straw a repeat it. It was really fun you should try this.

Goals

 My goal for term 3 is to show partcipation by partpating in every thing. I want to join every sport to have a good experience and have fun. At home my goal is to spend more time with my family instead of my chrome book. My next goal is always have fun and be positive. My other goal is to be a good role model.

St Johns

 

Yesterday Room 6 and I went to the hall because st johns was there to teach us about how to save a persons life. I learnt what d.r.s.a.b stands for. It stands for  Danger Response Send for help Airways Breathing.

Grumpy Hungry

I’m so hungry I could eat all the orders at mc donalds until there is no more.

My stomach sounds like a thunderstorm going 1000 times.

My tongue is salivating water like a flowing waterfall.

In the kitchen my mum is making chicken with sweet and chili sauce on top.  

It looks perfectly roasted with crispy skin and it looks like it was made by a professional.

The best part smells like meaty heaven.

Now my stomach is sounding like a meteor hitting earth.

I cannot wait! Now I'm feeling like sprinting to eat like a cheetah.

Finally! the time has come.  We say Karakia and it's time to dig into loads of delicious shiny chicken.

Hmmm…  just like I remember the taste of the crisp in my mouth.

One blazing sunny day we went to rebel,bk, and space jam 2. First we went to a rebel sport to buy shoes with my niece, brother and I. Then my niece picked air maxes white color it looked clean so I wanted to get air maxes as well. It took me a while to look for some. Then I found some and it was blue,gray and white. After that we finished and paid for the shoes.

Next we went for a feed at bk before we went to space jam 2. When we ate it was pretty good, that was the only option. Then we finished eating and went to the movies

Once we got to the movies we played in the arcade there were cool games but lost in most of them. Then we went inside the cinema with loads of snacks. We watched Space Jam 2. The main reason for the movie was to do what you wanna do.

Finally we went on a train to travel home.

 

Trip to Paknsave

Yeterday Room6 walked to paknsave because to learn about nutrtion with the nutrtion lady. We had to see what good to eat every day and sometime to eat. To know what was good and what was bad we had to look at the back of the thing that we picked. My favourite part was everything becausse it was fun and to experience.

 One sunny day there was a lady who came to speak about nutrtion I learnt that did you know that iron can go in your food if your cooking it on metal and it is actually good becuase it gives you energy.Did you know that fibre stops you from getting constapated.

The pencil was cheap looking, it had scratches all over it and old . It's saving grace was that it was sharp, very sharp. Sharp enough to shred someone's body. I usually pretended that my pencil was like a magic pencil used for fancy writing. Teeth marks at the top from someone crunching it made it look like a person morphing a mouthguard. The rigged pencil is now smooth and fresh. My rigged  pencil can still do everything perfectly and does the trick.    

Matariki

When the Matariki stars appear it is the beginning of the Maori new year. 

We celebrate Matariki  like we celebrate a happy new year.

Like sisters the stars shine bright like a diamond.

Matariki is a time for joy, like having fun with your family members.

It is a time to learn like at school.

It is a time to plant crops like potatoes, kumaras and tomatoes.

It is a time to fish and hunt 

It is a time to make things like necklaces,bracelets,kites and clothes. 

It is a time to for give 

Matatriki reminds me of family and friends that passed away because of the stars in the sky. 

Life Ed

Today room 6 and I went to life ed and saw harold the girrafe. Yesterday we learnt about sypathy it means to put yourself in other peoples shoes like putting your self in others peoples positions. Today we learnt about small problems and big problems. When you think about your problem it is actually small.

 Ingredients: Koko,vai,suka,alaisa and pe’e pe’e

Equipment:Pot,knife,spoon,cup/bowl and oven

1. Wash the alaisa three times 

2. Add vai to the alaisa(¾ of the pot)

3. Let it boil

4. Add ½ koko to the pot

5. Let it boil

6. Add suka and pe’e pe’e

7. Let it boil for 10 minutes 8.Serve and enjoy

This term room 6 had buddy class with room 1. My buddys name is Alan and we had to color in the body. I had teach him 3 body parts in moari. The value that we showed fire and ace.

On thursday room 6 learnt some skills for rugby.It was fun because we had to work together.

Trip To The Museum

 

Room 6 and Room5 went to the Museum and my favourite part was when we went to the volcano because we got to see eruption also the house was moving.I learnt that a marae was like a body.

There were people that I saw who were fighting for their country and falling because they got shot.

In the distance I can hear bombs ringing off and loud gun shots from fighting in the distance.

There was a sense coming from my nose because of all the smoke from the bombs and blood from all of the people bleeding

Inside my body I could feel a bullet going through my veins and the ground vibrating.

In my mouth there was dirt and mud when I fell on the ground.

My body felt disgusted from all the bodys on the ground and proud for fighting for my country.

Kaitiaki Kids

 Today Kaitiaki kids came to visit gts. I learnt to respect papatuanuku by picking up rubbish and made guardian sticks with nature. We should spend time outside because we spend to much time on our devices.

ANZAC COOKIES

 Tuesday 13 april Rm 6 and I made anzac cookies because of anzac day. We had to pour one cup of flour and oats. It taste marvellous.

I enjoyed watching the cannon.I learnt what maoris used before google maps,paper maps and a compass.They used a navigator star map.

On wednesday 10 room 6 and I made tapa cloths.First we made tapa cloths on paper.Next we sketched what we were going to draw.Then went over it with a vivid.After that we scrunched it carfully so it didn't rip.Finally we opened it and dyed it.

Mt Taylor trip

On Wednesday Room 6 and Room 5 went on a trip to Mt Taylor.The things we needed to bring were hats and water bottles.We went there because we were going to learn about our school pepeha and have fun.when we got there we were so exhausted walking up the steep hill.Next we were talking about our school pepeha.

Some people said their own and I was one of them.Then I was sliding down the hill so fast then it was exhausting to walk back up the mountain.When we were going down it was hard to avoid the cow poop everywhere also there were heaps of black and white cows.My buddie and I were laughing because some people were rolling down.After that we played on the park and basketball court.

Finally we walked back to school and I was tired from walking.
